Procedure for formatting Blog posts so that they look good on Mobile and Desktop
Writing your text
You can now paste large blocks of text in from word and it will stay formatted. So if you had red text it would stay red or bold text it would stay bold and not create weird issues on the page. It is better to write you text in word anyway as it spell checks it and you have an offline copy.
Header Tags
However you will still need to highlight the text you want and headers and give H tags these are really important for google
Inserting Images
If there are images in it, it wont bring them over, - Bloody hell it has just pasted the image in?. It puts them in first paste then when make another edit it cant cope and goes to a ?. So you will need to do this through the file manager Need to put this here when not broken
To insert and images you have to have first uploaded it to file manager and copied the link where the images is stored on the server (you may find in helpful to have 2 tabs of the with the CMS open on both to do this) Click insert>Image then enter the link where the images is stored in the source box. Put the text you want to come up when you hover over the picture on the website (this is again a good place for keywords as google pays attention obviously must be relevant to the picture). Make the picture width 350 – this is so that it works on mobile with no text down the or and the full picture is seen rather than cut off if bigger than this
To wrap text around images
Highlight the text you want to wrap around the image select Format>formats>images>image left
Struggling to get something to look good
If you are working on something and you are struggling to get it to look good on the CMS processor sometimes it is easier to start again in which case highlight the text and select format>clear formatting
Format image left or right to wrap text around it
