Procedure for formatting Blog posts so that they look good on Mobile and Desktop

testWriting your text

You can now paste large blocks of text in from word and it will stay formatted. So if you had red text it would stay red or bold text it would stay bold and not create weird issues on the page. It is better to write you text in word anyway as it spell checks it and you have an offline copy.

Header Tags

However you will still need to highlight the text you want and headers and give H tags these are really important for google

Inserting Images

If there are images in it, it wont bring them over, - Bloody hell it has just pasted the image in?.  It puts them in first paste then when make another edit it cant cope and goes to a ?. So you will need to do this through the file manager Need to put this here when not broken

To insert and images you have to have first uploaded it to file manager and copied the link where the images is stored on the server (you may find in helpful to have 2 tabs of the with the CMS open on both to do this) Click insert>Image then enter the link where the images is stored in the source box.  Put the text you want to come up when you hover over the picture on the website (this is again a good place for keywords as google pays attention obviously must be relevant to the picture). Make the picture width 350 – this is so that it works on mobile with no text down the or and the full picture is seen rather than cut off if bigger than this

To wrap text around images

Highlight the text you want to wrap around the image select Format>formats>images>image left

Inserting Urls
If there are Url it will bring them over however if you want to use anchor text you either need to do that in the word file (By highlighting the text you want as anchor text in word and then selecting insert tab then select links and put the url in the box and click OK). The other alternative is to code it out so that it links with anchor text, however as Steve is going to fix that part at some point I think doing in word is probably easier.
But if you have already put the text in or need to clear the formatting to code the url with anchor text code sample here <ahref="https://www.example.com">Example Anchor Text anything you would want to work as a link would need to be code like this on the word processing part of the CMS.
Note - Sometimes for changes to take effect with coding you would save then on the page you would see the raw coding written out, however when you save again the coding does what you have asked it to do. So in short when working in code you sometimes need to save and save again.

Struggling to get something to look good

If you are working on something and you are struggling to get it to look good on the CMS processor sometimes it is easier to start again in which case highlight the text and select format>clear formatting
