As the seasons begin to change and gardens transition from summer abundance into rich autumn colour, there is no better time to immerse yourself in the beauty of seasonal flowers.
Join us on Monday 28th September from 6pm until 8pm at our Booker Avenue flower shop in Liverpool for a special Autumn Flower Arranging Workshop designed for flower lovers, home entertainers, and anyone looking to learn new floristry skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
This hands-on floristry class is perfect for beginners and returning flower arrangers alike. Together, we'll create a beautiful autumn-inspired floral design using seasonal flowers, foliage, and natural textures that celebrate everything we love about this time of year. Unlike some of our previous workshops, this class will focus on creating arrangements using eco-friendly and sustainable floristry mechanics, giving you the opportunity to learn contemporary floristry techniques that are kinder to the environment whilst still achieving professional-looking results.
As gardens begin to slow down, we see an incredible shift towards rich colours, interesting seed heads, textured foliage, berries, grasses, and flowers that bring warmth and depth to arrangements. Taking inspiration from this your design will include a mixture of seasonal flowers and foliage chosen by our florists to reflect the colours and textures of autumn. Think warm oranges, deep burgundies, golden tones, rich greens, and natural materials that capture the essence of the season.
Whether you've attended one of our classes before or this is your first flower workshop, you'll leave with a stunning arrangement to take home and the confidence to recreate the design yourself in the future.
One of the things we hear most often after our workshops is that people love learning techniques they can actually use again at home. After all, it's lovely to leave with a beautiful arrangement, but it's even better when you've picked up a skill that helps you recreate that feeling again and again.
That's one of the reasons we're so excited about this particular class. The sustainable mechanic we'll be using isn't just designed for this one autumn arrangement. It's a technique that can be adapted across a whole range of floral designs, making it a brilliant skill to add to your flower-arranging repertoire. Once you understand the principles behind it, you'll start spotting opportunities to use it whenever you're arranging flowers at home, helping you create more professional-looking designs with confidence.
During this autumn flower arranging class, you'll learn:
How to create a balanced seasonal floral arrangement
Sustainable floristry techniques without traditional floral foam
How to build shape, movement, and structure into designs
Tips for selecting seasonal flowers and foliage
Colour theory and flower placement principles
How to care for your arrangement once you take it home
One of the biggest misconceptions about flower arranging is that you need experience to create something beautiful.
You don't.
Our workshops are designed to be welcoming, friendly, and completely accessible for beginners. Every stage of the arrangement is demonstrated by our experienced florists, who will guide you through the process step-by-step.
If you've ever searched for floristry classes for beginners or wondered whether a flower arranging class would be suitable for you, the answer is almost certainly yes.
Many of our attendees come on their own, whilst others attend with friends, family members, or colleagues. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal, and focused on enjoying flowers whilst learning something new.
Our Autumn flower workshop takes place at our Booker Avenue flower shop in South Liverpool, where you'll be welcomed by our friendly team of florists and your floristry tutor for the evening which will be Fleur.
Everything you need for the class is provided, including flowers, foliage, sundries, tools, tuition, and of course your finished arrangement to take home and enjoy.
Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, spend an evening doing something creative, or simply enjoy a couple of hours surrounded by beautiful flowers, we'd love to welcome you to our September flower workshop.
